1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
Vladyslav Lytvynenko, Brauhausstr. 6, 13086 Berlin, Germany
Email: bleeptools@icloud.com
Further details are in the Legal Notice.
2. Overview
This website provides information about bleeptools products and offers a newsletter signup as well as links to beta versions and the App Store. This website uses no cookies and no analytics or tracking services, and it does not embed external fonts, videos or maps.
3. Hosting with GitHub Pages
This website is hosted with GitHub Pages. The provider is GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation).
When you visit the website, GitHub processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referrer URL, and information about your browser and operating system. According to GitHub, the IP addresses of visitors to a GitHub Pages site are logged and stored for security purposes, whether or not you are signed in to GitHub. I have no access to these logs.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is providing the website securely and reliably.
Transfers to third countries: Data may be transferred to the USA in this process. According to GitHub, it relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for transfers from the European Economic Area. For more information, see GitHub's Privacy Statement.
4. Newsletter (sent via CleverReach)
You can sign up on this website for my newsletter to receive occasional news about bleeptools products (for example about betas, releases and updates).
Data processed
When you sign up, I process your email address. To prove your consent, I also store the date, time and IP address of your signup and of your confirmation.
Double opt-in
After signing up, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. I add you to the mailing list only after you confirm.
Legal basis
Emails are sent on the basis of your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Logging the signup serves to prove your consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Art. 7(1) GDPR).
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email or by emailing me. Processing carried out before your withdrawal remains lawful.
Retention
I store your data until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. After that, I delete your email address from the mailing list. To honour your unsubscription and to be able to document signup and unsubscription, I may keep the data in a suppression list or proof log for as long as claims may arise (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Service provider
I use CleverReach, a service of CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Schafjückenweg 2, 26180 Rastede, Germany, to send and manage the newsletter. Your data is stored on CleverReach's servers; according to CleverReach, the server locations are in Germany or Ireland (EU). I have concluded a data processing agreement with CleverReach under Art. 28 GDPR. More information: CleverReach's privacy information.
Performance measurement
The newsletter emails contain tracking pixels and tracking links used to evaluate whether and when you opened the email and which links you clicked. This is based on your separate consent, which you give when signing up (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time.
5. Links to Apple (TestFlight and App Store)
This website contains links to the beta version via Apple TestFlight and, in future, to the App Store. These are plain links. Data is transferred to Apple only when you click one of them. From that point on, Apple Inc.'s privacy policy, or that of the Apple entity providing the respective service to you, applies to processing on their pages. The download badge ("Download on the App Store") is delivered from this website itself and does not establish a connection to Apple.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set any cookies itself and does not store information on your device (no local storage, no fingerprinting). Consent under § 25 TDDDG is therefore not required.
7. Contacting me by email
If you email me, I process your email address and your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; for pre-contractual enquiries, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). I delete the data once it is no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.
8. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent you have given (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
To exercise your rights, an email to the address above is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority responsible for me: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.
9. Obligation to provide data, automated decisions
Providing your email address when signing up for the newsletter is voluntary, but it is required to receive the newsletter. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling.
10. Encryption and changes
The website is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). I will update this privacy policy when the website's features or the legal situation change. The version available here applies.
